Ngoc Son Guesthouse is a cornerstone of the guesthouse-filled alley off Co Giang Street, as they offer competitively priced rooms and a decently priced motorbike rental service. One of the nicer guesthouses on the strip, with their fish tank decorated lobby, they have comfortable but slightly smaller rooms. All come complete with private bathroom, air-con, cable TV and small fridge. Doubles are bigger, some with small balconies, than singles but they are still pretty cramped — singles do still have room for a window. With a small number of total rooms it tends to be regularly near capacity. Renting a motorbike with them is painless and affordable, with bikes going for as little as $6 a day.

Standard Guesthouse

I paid $10 for a single fan room with cold water. She gave me a ''discount'' because it's low season. The staff were nice enough, but spoke little English and seemed pretty distant. They let me store my bag for free for 24 hours, which was great! The location is a 5-10 minute walk from the main backpacker area - very convenient. Since it's a guesthouse, there's no common area. The room was pretty clean, but there were a bunch of small flying bugs in the bathroom.

Quiet and friendly

Our room was really spacious with a great balcony. The staff were really friendly and helpful and just made us feel at home. The guest house is in the quieter backpacker area which we loved. If you want somewhere clean, quiet and safe look no further.
