Description
The Chuong Hoang Yen Hotel / Medal Hotel is well-located for many of District One's bars and restaurants and draws a longer-stay, business-orientated crowd -- many of whom are working in Saigon. While the rooms are a tad stuffy, those at the rear have reasonable views and all come with complimentary in-room internet access (cable, not WiFi), which makes this hotel pretty good value. The rooms are certainly no great shakes, but they're clean and have small desks that you could just about fit a laptop onto. Staff are cheery and friendly and ran of a bunch of nearby restaurant recommendations without us even asking. There's also a large bar and restaurant in the basement if those just around the corner are just too far for you to manage. The hotel has competitive long-term rates.

The rooms here are clean and well looked after... more
