More charm than average for midrange
The first of a now popular midrange chain, the Asian Ruby sits as the fancier flagship of the group.
Located in the heart of Saigon, a few blocks from the Saigon Opera House, it's decorated with more charm than other midrange options. Rooms have a more kept and luxurious look than that of similar priced competitors and are adequately equipped with wireless, air-con and private bathrooms. Some of the entry-level rooms are windowless but most rooms with windows don't have much by way of view, as the Ruby is surrounded by other large buildings. Breakfast is served on the 11th floor and comes with a city view. While the Asian Ruby is a fair boutique-style hotel, prices are high for a three-star. Beware of their airport pick-up service as it is priced substantially higher than what you should expect to pay.
