Description
This big, unattractive, tour group outfit is just north of Barbara's on Nguyen Hue, not far from the beach. It was probably the place to stay before the Saigon-Quynhon opened up, and with future development slated to occupy a An Vuong Duong St, closer to the beach, it's going to have to struggle to keep up. The lobby has the typical vacuous feel of a place that depends on people booking before they see the hotel, and the staff are appropriately jaded. The mid-range prices of the rooms here do not reflect the quality -- air-con, cable TVs, bathrooms with tubs, and some distant sea views, but nothing you can't get elsewhere for cheaper. The location is also not that great, isolated at the north end of the beach, though there are a few good cafes and seafood places right near by. There is a tour outfit here that's heavily oriented towards booking tours in others cities.

HAGL Resort-Quynhon (Hoang An)
01 Han Mac Tu St, Qui Nhon
The HAGL is a very acceptable, beach-side, mid-range option that makes a lot more sense than the Siagon-Quynhon if you're here for more than just the night. It has a swimming pool -- small but cool and blue -- and it's on a nice patch of sand at the extreme southern end of the town beach. It's... more
