White Sand Doclet Resort & Spa is conveniently located at the end of the line stop for the public bus from Nha Trang.
The resort clientele is predominantly Russian but with its modest size (53 comfortable rooms) and impressive beachfront villas, it is worth considering, especially since there is such limited choice on Doc Let. There are two types of accommodation: superior or deluxe rooms in a two-storey building block or individual bungalow-style villas. Both share the same generic modern hotel style and layout – clean, functional but bland. You get all the modern comforts including a mini-fridge, wooden desk/vanity, bedside table and plug, TV, well lit modern bathroom with shower stall and a sliding glass door that opens to a private terrace equipped with seating.
The ocean front villas are as you would expect: they give a fantastic view to the resort’s star attraction. With no neighbours, this section of Doc Let is big, beautiful and empty. If lazing on the beach gets too boring, there are some watersports available, a swimming pool and a spa. Overall, the resort has little ambience. The grounds are so big and sprawling that it is quiet and impersonal. For some, that is the perfect getaway.
The cheapest way to get to the resort from Nha Trang is to take the blue-white-yellow air-con bus #3 (Nha Trang – Ninh Hoa – Doc Let). The bus starts at 06:30, costs only 24,000 VND per ride, and last stop is right at White Sand Doclet. The ride takes about 1.5 hours one way. Last bus departs at 17:30.
