Description
For our money, this is the shining star among the options on Ca Na Beach. It's a family-run place, with rooms around a small central courtyard, done up with cement bas-reliefs and lots of powder blue paint -- we thought it was kinda cute. The homely atmosphere extends into the rooms, which are small, but well-done and quite clean. The seaside rooms delivered up cool, soothing breeze from the water, which seemed to make the air-con units a bit superfluous. There are no balconies, but the views are great here, thanks to the natural artistry of the rock formations along the beach. The attached cafe restaurant makes the most of the location, with plenty of seating in little nooks along the water -- it was our favourite spot on the beach for an afternoon coffee. To the east, the guesthouse shares beachfron with the Ca Na Hotel next door, which seems to attract the most day-visitors -- it's rockless and good for swimming. An all-around good value.

Most of the rooms here are a-frame bungalows along the water. Each bungalow houses two units which share a large veranda, but the a-frame construction means all the ceilings are drastically dormered making the rooms feel cramped. We couldn't rave about the bathrooms here either -- pretty much what... more

Across the road from the Hai Son, this is the sole off the beach option, with it's drawing card being the lowest prices on the beach, though not by much. The rooms are spare and basic, but clean, with high ceilings and lots of white walls. On our visit, the entire staff was fast asleep in... more
