What we say: 
The main train line runs along Highway 1A on the western side as it passes through Dai Lanh. Since the Phu Ngoan sits on the other side of the tracks, it's only accessible via an access road 300 metres to the north of it's location, which is right on the tracks in an unattractive spot. The rooms are decent, though not much of an improvement over the guesthouse rooms Dai Lanh Tourist offers on the beach -- tile floors, concrete walls, private baths, and very basic upkeep. Sort of an over-priced flop house.

New Location?
I just stayed here a week ago and I thought it was a great little spot, definitely worthy of an overnight stop. The place doesn't look anything like the picture on this site, and it's not on the other side of the tracks. Perhaps that was the old spot? Anyways, stay on the 3rd floor for a nice view of the mini-cove from the balcony. Clean, large rooms for 150-200 VND.
