Where to get a manicure/pedicure in KL

Published by at 7:32 am under Sightseeing & activties

Kuala Lumpur isn’t lacking in places to get cheap manicures and pedicures, but what if you’re after some shaping plus a little pampering? Malaysian model and TV host Soong Ai Ling runs two sumptuous nail spas in centrally located Bangsar Village II, 15 minutes’ drive from KL city centre. Prices are not as exorbitant as the decor may leave you thinking, making them great spots for a treat while on the road.

A day in Paris... or 1940s China?

Boudoir is where you can quietly retire for rest, relaxation and remarkable nails. It’s done out in 17th century European style with distinct Chinese influences, with partitioned sections where both sexes can enjoy manicures and pedicures in seclusion. Sip on a hot drink or a glass of wine or champagne and nibble on a macaroon while you revel in the plush surrounds. Staff are experienced and products used are imported from the United States, Italy and Canada.

Boudoir stands out too simply because there really aren’t many places in Malaysia quite like it, and certainly not at such prices, with packages starting from 35 ringgit. The “French Affair” foot spa, for instance, clocks in at 90 ringgit and gets you a flower foot bath, pedicure using Acca Kappa products and a glass of red or white wine. Promotional packages vary but have included gel extensions for 60 ringgit and caviar hand treatments for 110 ringgit.

It always begins in a Boudoir.

If you’re looking for something a little less indulgent, there’s Chic Nail Spa, which offers more affordable treatments. It’s often fully booked, so reserving in advance is recommended; 12 customers at a time can stop in for treatments. For a flat rate of 45 ringgit for a manicure and 55 ringgit for a pedicure, you can select which products you want used on your hands and feet.

They've nailed it.
