Hi Merwyn,

We can't really offer specific advice -- it would be best to contact authorities directly to ask, difficult as though that may be.

Best,
Sam

Dear Tania,

It was interesting reading and so may I put forth my problem?

My friend who is a Singapore resident applied for a multiple entry visa which was approved. I would be travelling into Singapore on April 30, , stay one night and travel the next day May 1, (basically transiting through Singapore). I would then return to Singapore on June 8 and catch a flight out of the country after only a few hours. My friend applied on April 1, as the ICA requests. They approved the visa as earlier mentioned, but from April 2 upto June 4 only. This does not cover my travelon my return trip. If they had checked the dates of my travel, they could have issued the visa, say April 15 to June 15 which would have been perfect. Is there any way of requesting them to rectify my reentry date (June 8) without any payment when I land in Singapore on April 30?

Hope you can advise me.

Many thanks,

Merwyn

Thanks a lot for the extra tips. Will check them out. Indeed it is not easy to find a place to accommodate a group of people age ranging from 9 to 79, some wants comfort when others rather save the lodging fund for other adventures. I wonder if there is any condos/ apartments available for short-term rental in Singapore. In South Africa, it is quite common to rent short-term holiday apartments.
