Dear Somtam
I check in every day or so and really appreciate the current info - which saves me having to ask questions about subjects where I need a little clarity. Your itinerary suggestions were fantastic and I will use them as a general but flexible outline. Many thanks and keep up the good work. Both your and the other contributor's experiences are helping to iron out those pre-trip new country uncertainties. Hope your efforts are financially beneficial and if I have any $$ left after this trip will definitely make a donation. (Self interest prevents me from making this donation beforehand - but I hate running out of money whilst having a good time) Infinitely better value than buying outdated travel guides. Good stuff guys.
Kind Regards
marianwarren

Hi Marian,

Why thankyou for your kind words -- they're very much appreciated!

The best kind of donation you can make is a few comments on the places you stay at during your trip -- that kind of feedback helps us help others!

Have fun and keep the questions coming.

Cheers

Somtam

Hi Somtam

Considering your suggestion on how to positively contribute to the Travelfish site; what format would you prefer this information to be in. I notice that members are recommending accomodation, services etc. by name... Many accomodation pages are quite dated (Do people actually scroll down to the comments and are these comments then reflected/updated into the initial blurb?). I would like to reciprocate the help I have received from your site and would like to know how best to achieve this. I don't travel with a camera or write diaries but am willing to compile info to assist. (Have seen too many people viewing the world through a camera lens and compulsively diary filling each day)

Ciao for now

Marian

I'll jump in on the praise!

I've never planned a trip like the one I'm planning for Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos in November. It's an intimidating experience, trying to figure it all out. Travelfish has, on numerous occasions, been the MOST helpful resource for me. Thank you so much!

Can I add my praise to the pile. This is a brilliant site. For my last SE Asia trip, I relied about 50% on Lonely Planet and about 50% on Travelfish - the difference is I paid $$$ for my LP guides but Travelfish didn't cost a cent and is usually more up to date. The redesign has made it even better. I recommend this site to all of my friends travelling to SE Asia. Thank you for all your hard work, Travelfish!
