hi, I arrive in phuket on 22nd Dec and want to spend christmas in the Similan islands, I do want to dive but dont want to spend 4 days in a live baord, can anyone suggest how to get there independantly and where to stay??

I would of thought you could private-hire a boat from Phuket to anywhere you want to go. Just need to go and speak to some boat owners and see how much.
