My partner and I will be arriving in Thailand on the 4th November & will be heading down to Koh Lanta for a weeks break in the sun before we go off backpacking! we have decided we would like to do our open water diving course. After doing some research the prices all seem to be pretty similar however I wanted to check to make sure im not being ripped off (better safe then sorry)
Blue Planet Divers on Koh Lanta are quoting me 13900 for 1 x open water course so the two courses plus 5 nights in air con room for 33480, is this the normal rate for doing the open water? The room is about £100 for 5 nights but it is a nice hotel.
Thanks for the help!!!
p.s great website!!

Hi Kiwi, those prices look pretty fair to me. You will find that there is not a lot of difference between the operators as I suppose they don't want to get into a price war. I really enjoyed the diving of Lanta as there are some great spots. One thing I would say is the better accreditted the dive shop the more comfortable I feel,i.e 5 star IDC centre etc. These dive shops tend have the best gear and seem to be the most professionally run. Enjoy the various dives.
regards
