    hey 3121,

maybe you could tell us a bit more about yourself, which parts of the states you plan to visit, what your travel budget is, what you like to do, etc. perhaps you could activate your private messaging so people can contact you directly.

you might also want to look into elder hostel, which is a stateside group for mature travelers. good luck.

    hello exacto

basically I want to see the west coast, all the cities and surrounding bits like las vegas, the canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone stuff like that.
There is so much to see.
I don't really have an itinerary and I will be travelling humbly.
I was just seeing if there were others who might like to wander around the same area.

    3121,

have a look at the Green Tortoise website to see if any of their bus tours fit your needs. Green Tortoise is an adventure travel tour group that visits quite a few of the places you mentioned. the average age on the tours tends to be a bit younger, but there is a good range of ages from kids right up to folks in their 60's and beyond. maybe you'll find something you like. cheers.

Hey! A travel Buddy? that's totally interesting you'll able to love the scenery around with someone who is well knowledgeable about the travel spots.

Well thank you, but it need not be someone knowledgable. Company and safety are the big 2 factors.
Anyway, I am into the 2nd half of my adventure now. The green tortoise tours are just awesome! I highly recommend them.
I am about to return to the west coast of the USA to see the Grand Canyon and then maybe back to San Francisco or Los Angeles.
I have a meetup site in Australia that I am going to attempt to turn into a meeting up place for travellers.
At the moment it is called Meetup for Travel Group for women 35-65.
    Cheers
