Friends,I am a new user of this forum. I want to travel Myanmar this year. As it is impossible to travel from my country (India) to Myanmar by road , I would like to know if it is possible to cross the border of Myanmar from Thailand and then travel towards the Yangon and other destinations.
Secondly, is it possible to travel some parts of historic Ledo road or Stilwell Road ?

On the other hand it is possible to make land crossings out of the country. If you approach immigration in Yangon and ask about leaving Myanmar via the Thai crossing I believe you can get a permit to do that. (I'm not so sure about land crossings into Bangladesh or India).
