Hi. We plan on flying into Burma from Chiang Mai. We will be n Laos before that. There seems to be conflicting info on I'd you can get a visa from these two places. I know you can get it in Bangkok but I don't plan to be there. Thanks.

You should be able to get a Burmese visa in Laos, in Vientiane - I got one there in December and posted this info which should help:

As far I know you can't get one in Chiang Mai as there's no embassy or consulate there - only in Bangkok.
