Want a few free nights in Mandalay?
So for the second time running I've arrived in Bangkok planning to get a visa running only to find the embassy closed. Yes, I'm an idiot.
However, there is an upside.
If you're already in Burma, specifically Mandalay and would like to use my pre-booked hotel stay which I can't change the dates on, let me know and I'll send you the voucher.
The stay is at the Smart Hotel, 167 28th Street, between 76th and 77 and is for checkin on May 25, checkout May 28. It cost me around $120 but if you can use it, you can have it no charge.
Let me know - time is ticking!

Bummer. Hopefully the embassy isn't closed because it was overrun like that other time...

No it was closed because of a Buddhist holiday so I lost my flight & accom and now going on Tuesday. I say hopefully cause I spent half the day in Samitivej hospital yesterday with a whopper of an eye infection (can't open eye) so are hoping that is good enough by Tues that I can go.
Seems Burma really don't want me!
