I have a nice Thai model of the 100cc Honda Win for sale. It's a much better bike than it looks and than I expected when I bought it. (Everyone tells me the Thai model is the good version.) It's really a good choice for a long trip - good ground clearance (you'll need it), big tires (better on bad roads), 8L gas tank, and less to damage compared to the plastic scooters. I rode it from Hanoi, all the way up North to Meo Vac (highly recommended), down to Halong Bay, and then all the way down to Saigon. These bikes are everywhere once you get out of the cities. They are sturdy and reliable little workhorses. Anyway, I'm asking for $300 USD or 7,000,000 VND.
I bought it from Anthony at Vietnam Motorbikes in Hanoi. His mechanics sorted the bike for me, so it has upgraded rear shocks for luggage or a second rider. That cost me $25. The bike itself (with new clutch plates, new brakes, new chain and sprockets, fresh oil, new bearings, and full mechanical check) cost me $400. Mechanically, it's still in great shape. I just had new grips, footpegs, battery, CDI unit, and front turn signals installed. I changed the oil a couple days ago. I also bought a helmet for $20. It actually has decent padding unlike most Vietnamese helmets. The visor is broken off, but I have it. The bike has a small rack behind the seat which was excellent for strapping my backpack to. I also have a new sparkplug, sparkplug wrench, and CDI unit for you. I have a coat that I bought up North because I underestimated the cold while riding. You can buy that from me for $20 if you want it.
