Pattaya to Siem Reap, Border Crossing

    Hi everyone,

    I haven't been able to find out too much information about the Chanthaburi/Pailin border crossing. My friend and I will be traveling from Pattaya to Siem Reap and were wondering which is the better border crossing from this trip; the Aranyaprathet/Poipet border or Chanthaburi/Pailin. Thanks for your help!

    From Pattaya, it will probably be faster to go via Aranyprathet, if only because the road is in pretty good shape now. Pailin is shorter, but it is wet season now and the road from the border to Pailin could be pretty patchy.
