15th October 2010,
I understand that areas in and around Phnom Penh have been flooded since the 11th of October.
My question is has this caused any serious problems for anyone traveling in Phnom Penh and Cambodia this month?
Many thanks.

Hi,
I'm writing from PP at the moment and there is no needs to adjust your plans. It is very wet and some streets/areas are flooded but not on a dangerous level.
For convenience I would advise you not to stay in the lake area (backpackers area) since that has some major drainage issues.
For other areas streets might be flooded ( 10- 20 cm deep) immediately after during showers. Inconvenient yes, but if you wear flipflops you'll be fine. Live continues here as normal apart from a few areas that are not on the tourist trail
