In three weeks time I'll be arriving at Suvannabhumi at 15.30.Hopefully I can get to Aran that day but of course the border doesn't open until 0700 next day.
Last time I was in Poipet the only buses going to Phnom Penh were at 0630 and 0730.Much too early for my crossing.Does anybody know if there are later buses now?
If there aren't do you know if I can at least get to Battambang by bus.I hate shared taxis.
Thanks all.

I know it's too late/not relevant for you sayadian but may be useful for someone else in the future .....

PP Sorya have daily buses from Poipet to Phnom Penh scheduled at 6.30, 8.00, 9.30 and 10.30 (all am). There may be a couple of other companies doing the route also but I don't think much (if anything) goes after mid to late morning. I took the 9.30 about 3 weeks ago - having left my guesthouse in Aranya at 8am I breezed across the borders and was waiting for the bus at 9am. It left on (Cambodian) time but we didn't pull into Phnom Penh until a painful 7pm which was a couple of hours later than I was anticipating! AirAsia is definitely the way to go!

I've done that route the other way a few times, paying from $6 to $10.I think Soraya are the cheapest and Mekhong Express the most expensive.A warning to anybody who fancies going with Mekhong because they advertise an onboard toilet. The said toilet would have been just big enough for a dog to crawl into.
So I had the choice of holding on or crawling into a heavily soiled toilet.Guess which one I decided. The bus does stop one time on its 8 hour trip but I wouldn't drink too much if I were you.
