Does anyone know a good hotel/guest house in Kep with a/c less than $30 a night, I have been looking at 2 new places, the Sok Man Palace and the Ponleu Chner tra Cheak Chit.- any opinions please.

Both not that great.
Sok Man is decent but the rooms are windowless
Ponleu really best to be avoided.
Better choices:
- Rega. nice and pleasant setting and very friendly french couple running it. Would be my preferred choice.
- Treetop bungalows. Value for money budget in nice grounds. No a/c though
- Spring Valley. Looks alright from outside and pleasant grounds with pool. Don't know exact prices but should be close to your price
