New member is looking at taking a boat trip from Phnom P to siem R in late May early June or there abouts. have heard it is good and takes about 4-6 hours Any comments. Is it better to go by car taxi or fly???

Hi jennejago,
The boat trip is worth doing once -- for the experience and the scenery, but after that the bus is far cheaper and faster -- of course flying is even faster

Hi somtam2000,
How about in October, will there be enough water for the boat trip?
Is it fairly straightforward in terms of getting from Phnom Pehn to Siem Reap? That is to say, if I'm taking the bus from Ho Chi Mihn to Phnom Pehn, can I connect to the boat trip straight away or would I have to overnight it in PP? And once I get to SR, is it fairly easy to get to the center of town? I'm a fairly small female travelling on my own and I'm just wondering if I have anything to be worried about.

The bus was air conditioned, quick and cheap at $10 so not a bad option...

Well I think that we will both just ask when we are in PP or Siem Reap I think it is easy.
Only problem I now have!!!! I think the Mekong is fairly dry so we may be going on bus

I am interested to learn the way from PP to SR too! And also, any way to get back to Ho Chih Min City from PP... as i need to depart my flight back to Sin from ho Chinh Min City as well!
