Phnom Penh to Battambang

    Hi Travelers!

    We are staying a few days in Phnom Penh and then heading up to Siem Reap. We were thinking of stopping in Battambang and wondered if there was anything along the way from Phnom Penh to Battambang worth stopping and staying for? We would be up to staying in a random location along the way just to take in the sights.
    Also, is the Bamboo Train still in affect? I heard it was closing soon, just not sure when.
    Any suggestions for hotels would be great or things to do along the way.
