We are a family with 2 children interested in this trip into PP. Haven't found a lot of reviews online and was wondering if I could get some feedback. What's the standard of the tour, is it interesting enough for the kids, how is the border crossing into Cambodia? Have read it can be a nightmare.

Hi Sunbird,
Border is fine, though the tours sometimes get delayed a little. Certainly should be interesting for kids -- especially the floating markets, boat trips and coconut candy factories.
There's a bunch of operators in Sagon who offer tours like this -- you needn't book it in advance -- Sinh Cafe is one of the oldest and overall does a pretty good job of it.

Just returned from a 2nd Mekong Delta trip with TM Brothers which included a HomeStay which would be great fun with children! Joined a minibus tour, staying 2nd night in Can Tho before jumping the tour to head byprivate minibus to Rach Gia and onto the MOST BEAUTIFUL island of Phu Quoc,.
One note of caution: Cambodia is much harder work travelling than surrounding countries, including Laos. Roads are pretty diabolical and at this time of year, river trips can be extremely hazardous and dangerous due to low water levels.
Happy to help further if more info required!
