I got rejected today because I was wearing a tank top with a sarong wrapped around my shoulders. They said you HAVE to wear SLEEVES. A sarong or a wrap around the upper body is not good enough. Various other women got rejected as well for the same reason.

I'm surprised, usually they don't enforce this. That said, I've seen some young ladies prancing around in front of the Royal Palace in bikinis, so I can't blame them for finally getting sick of it.

I can understand dress-enforcement in religious sites such as Pagodas but the Palace has nothing to do with religion.maybe they're having one of their moral sweeps which they occasionally.last time it was dyed hair which shocked the 'moral' elite.
BTW when do these 'prancing' bikini clad girls parade outside the Palace as, far from being offended, I'm sure my male Khmer friends would enjoy the spectacle.

Sorry, have only seen bikini tops, not the full bikinis.

"I'm sure my male Khmer friends would enjoy the spectacle."
Yep. Aside from those who are batting for the other team, men across the globe share certain traits. This would be one of them.

My drunken chat with a few young Khmer guys outside a quickymart selling cheap whiskey confirms what MadMac said.
