I'm currently in Phnom Penh (been traveling from Laos) and my flight back from Bangkok leaves on the 18th of May.
Which one is better to do first: Sihanoukville or Siem Reap ? (I'm going to do both.)
Other then that I'm worried of getting stuck on the beaches in Sihanoukville, is there any other advantage of doing Siem Reap first? Is it easier to go to Bangkok from Siem Reap or Sihanoukville?
Or is it just stupid to first go from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and then down to Sihanoukville?
Thanks!

It's a fair enough question. Generally I would plump for the beach/lazy option secondly but I think in this case it would add unnecessary miles on to your trip to do SR- Sihanoukville -BKK. Hence I would say to go Sihouville first.
There is (or at least there was) a direct overnight bus from Sihanoukville to Siem Reap but you may want to bear in mind the dangers of night time travel in Cambodia, which include quite a number of crashes in recent times. There have been a couple of good blogs on here and the Internet generally about this. Hence, you may want to break up this leg by stopping in PP for a night.

Also, if you have the time, you should try and get to Kampot and Kep.
