Direct bus from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh/Saigon?

Hi,

I hear that there is now a direct bus from Siem Reap to HCMC. Anyone know how I'd go about booking a seat on the bus? And is there a bus every day, or only a few days per week? Thanks in advance!

Hi holyvaca,

There's no direct bus to my knowledge -- as the road takes you through phnom penh anyways, I'd suggest a bus to Phnom Penh then a bus the next morning to saigon -- not sure if there are afternoon buses from PP to Saigon. For both legs numerous buses run daily. Generally you can sort out your ticket the day before via a travel agent, or by going to the bus station.

Hi holyvaca

According to the 'Out & About' guides, the morning buses leave SR for PP around 7am and the lunchtime ones around 12.30pm. The journey takes about 5 hrs and costs betwen $4-9.

From PP to HCMC Mekong Express leaves daily at 6.30am - Capitol tours at 9am and Sorya Transport Company at 8, 9 and 11am. This journey from 5 - 7 hours according to traffic conditions and how long to cross the border. Tickets around $12

Hi holyvaca,

The Mekong Express Limousine Bus travels direct from Siem Reap to HMC. The bus departs SR at 7:00 and arrives in HMC at 19:00. It makes a 30 minute stop in Phom Penh. The bus ticket costs $22 US and can be booked in SR at:
