Hi,
I haven't done this but my boyfriend and some mates did it a few weeks ago; the return flight was $143 avaiable from all travel agents, in Siem Reap (I'm sure also in PP and Shianoukville too though).
The airline is not considered to be very reliable though and his return flight was delayed (only be about 40mins though). Remember your $6 each wasy airport tax too. He bought his tickets less than 24hours before he went so I do not think you ahve to worry about booking to far in advance.
I hope this helps,
Rachel

we flew from sihanoukville to siem reap via PMT and it was absolutely fine. the tickets were $60, we got a discount but normally the tickets are $80. the plane was a russian anatov 24 (if you're interested in that sort of thing) with space for 40 but there were only 6 of us on the flight as most people still dont know about this route. sihanoukville airport was spotless but deserted but who cares, its better than sitting on a bus for 12 hours. we found it to be very reliable, flight was on time and took an hour. we booked the tickets from ANA travels in sihanoukville town (next to orange supermarket) 2 days before flying. i dont think you will have a problem if you book it 24 hours in advance.
