We plan to be in Siem Reap over 5 days, and i was left to decide where our accomodation should be. I have identified 2 place, but can't decide which is better to stay at - Earthwalkers or Pavillion Indochine. We plan to stay there for 2 days and then move to an accomodation closer to the Old Market area as we would like to go shopping as well. Can you please suggest a place to stay? Our top prority is clean beds and toilets (with a tub, if possible). What do you think of Shadows of Angkor? Thank you.
I've stayed in both these places -- Pavillion Indochine is the more stylish option, the rooms are very smart and tasteful, though the breaskfast area was mediocre. Earthwalkers, on the other hand, is in a modern very functional building, but I'd not describe it at all as being stylish. Earthwalkers has a good reputation mainly due to its popularity with backpackers and the tours it runs.
Shadows of Angkor is popular -- I don't know if the rooms have a tub though!

Thank you very much. I'll be in Siem Reap tomorrow, and I was just informed that it is their new year. Earth walker's replied, and they are closed for those dates. Do you have any suggestions on where to stay budget wise? I'm trying to get Two Dragons, but as of now, thery have not replied yet.

Aside from Earthwalkers and Two Dragons, try Golden Temple Villa and Ivy 2 Guesthouse are both popular and budget orientated.

Thank you. Two Dragons replied, and they have rooms available. Will update you on my trip, when I get back.
