Is it possible to travel by boat along the Mekong from Strung Treng to the border with Laos

All the border traffic is now via the land crossing (by minibus) -- you can get a speedboat up to the border area (to see the dolphins) but, as far as I know, that is it.

Somtam2000 is right unfortunatly. The boat crossing at Veun Kham is now shut. The only way is overland at Dom Kralor (Dongkralaw) which can be reached by minibus.
It would be a spectacular way to cross the border but the only option is the land crossing.
