    is there a direct bus from siem riep to bkk'

    There is, although you still have to negotiate the border crossing. The following link contains a lot of useful information.

    There is but you will inevitably fall victim to some sort of scam / delay / annoyance, so for an extra couple of dollars you can do this trip with relative speed and comfort.     and to be honest the trip from SR to BKK is much easier than in the other direction
