Hi,
Visa's for Vietnam cannot be obtained at the border.
You are advised to sort visa's for Vietnam in advance.
Some hotels (Bright Lotus Guesthouse in PP) organise Vietnamese Visa's for 35USD for a 30 day visa and take two nights. The hotel also arranges a coach trip from PP to Saigon for 22USD.
Alternatively, you can arrange your visa in your own country or go to the Vietnamese embassy in Cambodia once you arrive.
For Thailand, Laos and Cambodia Visa's can be obtained at the border (for British Citizens, atleast).
Hope that helps,
Maria

Vietnamese visa must be obtained in advance. You can get a next day 30day Vietnamese visa from Lucky! Lucky! motorcycle hire shop (intersection of Monivong Boulevard and Ph182, near Capitol guesthouse)in Phnom Penh for 30USD (after a bit of bartering!)
Capitol GH A/C bus from PP to Saigon is 6USD.

hey rakhee, thanks for the reply!
i spoke to one of the people in the vietnamese embassy here in kuala lumpur yesterday and she informed that citizens of malaysia do not have to have a visa (my guess is a proper visa) to enter vietnam. a 30-day tourist visa can be obtained from any of the immigration offices at any of vietnamese frontiers.
anyone kind enuff to offer me some clarification, please?
thank you...:)

Yes as a fellow Asean member you are able to obtain a visa at the border, I think that rakhee and Maria have missed that point.
