What are the options and costs going overland from Laos to Cambodia?
I'll be heading to Siem Reap.
Also, how long did it take you?
I'm really looking for first-hand experience of people who have done this within the past year.
Thanks, Marcus

Hi MarcuzNYC,
Welcome to Travelfish!
I just talked to a friend who crossed there last week. He crossed at the Veun Kham/ Dom Kralor between Laos and Cambodia (heading to Cambodia).
He took a tuk tuk from Nakasang (the port town for Don Dhet and Don Khon) for the 15 km trip south to Vuen Kham. The Cambodian immigration office has been moved and now sits on the Lao side of the river, in Vuen Kham. Once you have cleared customs, you can either take the speedboat south to Stung Treng (takes about 1 hour) or go by minibus (about 1.5 to 2 hours). Boatmen are charging US$5 a head for a speedboat seat to Stung Treng, though you may need to wait a while to fill the boat.
