Does anyone know whether there are any buses leaving Phnom Penh for Battambang at around noon (if not later)?
Hoping this is not too ambitious, I'm hoping I can somehow get to Battambang after arriving in Phnom Penh airport at 9.30am. From what I've gathered, all buses leave in the early morning. After going through custom/money exchanging etc, I don't think I can get to the bus centre until noon!
Any info would be appreciated! I'd try to avoid the shared taxi option if possible! As I'll be coming back to PP, I really want to get to BBG as early as possilbe without spending an extra day in PP given my rather tight itinerary!
Thanks heaps!

Hi icet2sugars,
Welcome to Travelfish!
As far as I know the last bus to Battambang leaves around 12:30 -- after that there is only share taxis. But if you're arriving at 9:30am that should leave plenty of time to get to the bus station and grab a bus.

Hi icet2sugars,
If you are in a hurry you might try to get your visa up front in, say, Bangkok. The most time consuming thing at the airport is usually waiting a few minutes in-line for your visa.
When you carry US$ there is no need to exchange money. And although I have heard rumours of custom officers actually at the airport I have never seen them (and I'm there twice a year) so there are no other delays.
When you have a visa, you could be in a taxi heading for the busstation in about 15 minutes.
