Has anyone stayed at either the Serendipity Beach Bungalows or Serenity? They're mentioned in Lonely Planet's guide to the Greater Mekong but I can't find any mention of them anywhere else and LP doesn't have much to say about them either.
Thanks much.

You could try the Canby Publications site on the internet - just Google Canby Publications - and go to their Sihanoukville section. If you dont find anything on that site you will get a good idea of other guest houses and prices on Serenity Beach,
Quite honestly there are myriad guest houses in the area and you will have no trouble finding a place. The beach is only about half a mile (800 m) long so there is not far to walk. Just get a tuk tuk from the bus station, get off at the Golden Lion roundabout and start looking from there. The tuk tuk should cost no more than $US 2 but they will try for more.
Good luck

Plenty of choices on the beach. I would suggest turning up and taking a look. Don't believe the tuk tuks, they just take you to the guest houses that pay the most commission, make it clear to them that you are going on a tour, or just get them to drop you and look yourself.
