Are there more or less typical rates for transport by taxi, shared taxi and tuk-tuk? Per kilometer of units of time?

That's a good question Harry -- truth is I'm not sure. Share-taxi prices can be a bit volatile due to the price of gas and tuk tuks will charge whatever they can get away with. Bus prces vary greatly from provider to provider -- for instance you can do Phnom Penh to Siem Reap for anything between $6 and $15 depending on the company.

Since I know tour arround the city in Siem Reap is USD12.00 in Phnom Penh USD15.00, if you go far away from the city then you can dicuss.
