We need help for traveling in Cambodia for one week at the end of July 2008. We are a group of 3 adults and 4 kids. What should we see after spending one day in Siem Reap and Phom Phen. We would like to see the Mondulkiri Province. Is this possible and how can we get there? Please advise with any information including tours/tour agents. Thanks a lot.

Try Sihanoukville South of Phnom Penh, its a beach resort, the kids will love it ,you can fish, swim, scuba, boat trips, good restaurants, the best beach is Occhateal, GOOGLE "Sihanouville Hotels Cambodia"
Accomodation from $8 upwards, bus from P/Penh Central market 15,000 riel, Our 4th visit will be in March 2008, Hope this helps, have a great time.

Hi abrama,

There's both 4WDs and buses to Mondulkiri's capital, Sen Monorom daily from Phnom Penh. You don't need to engage a travel agent to get there. It's a beautiful, if somewhat bumpy, trip.

Once there the popular guesthouses can all arrange tours to the standard highlights -- waterfalls, elephant riding, visiting outlying villages etc.

Sorry, I just reread the header -- are you planning on seeing Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Sen Monorom in a week? If so, I'd reconsider Sen Monorom as it's close to a full day of travel each way (depending on road conditions).
