Hi,
Does anyone know if these still operate? They are mentioned in the Lonely Planet and sound great but I have been let down by loads of info in the LP and so far everyone whom I have met who have been to Battambang have no idea what I am talking about! We are going to reach B hopefully in about a week.

Hi Christabel16,
The bamboo trains are called "nori" and as far as I know they're still running and any moto guy should know what you're talking about. Note the regular train pretty much doesn't run anymore, but nori still do -- as far as I know!
If you take a look in our Battamabng section I think there are some pics of them...
