Anybody give some infomration about what would be a good way to travel from Pakse to Phu Quoc in November? This would just be a quick pass through as I want to have a couple of days on the beach on Phu Quoc after traveling in Laos at the end of my vaccation. Would want to keep Cambodia for the next journey (hopefully next year).

Quickest way would be overland to Phnom Penh, overnight there then get the morning boat to Chau Doc in Vietnam. Assuming the boat isn't too late into Chau Doc, you should be able to get a bus to Long Xuyen or Can Tho and overnight at one or the other. Following morning get the first bus you can to Rach Gia -- if you're very lucky you'll get there is time for the morning boat to Phu Quoc.
You could also go from Phnom Penh south to Kep, cross to Ha Tien and onwards to Rach Gia -- that route would be quicker as you'd only need to overnight in PP and Rach Gia...
It's a lot of transit for just a couple of days on the beach...
THanks for the options!
Just wondering if the following would be possible:
Leaving from Don Khon instead of Pakse to Kratie in 1 day. (how many hours?)
Overnight in Kratie, leave the next day for Phnom Penh and carry on to Kep.
Overnight in Kep and leave the next morning to Rach Gia and then catch the boat to Phu Quoc.

You can get from Don Khon to Phnom Penh in a day, but it's a long day -- expect to arrive early evening.
Phnom Penh to Kep takes 3-6 hours depending on mode of transport and road conditions.
From Kep to Phu Quoc Island is doable in a day as long as the afternoon boat is running.
