I am thinking of doing some volunteer english teaching at that school. I would be interested in hearing from people who have been there, for how long, and where did you stay?

Hi there,
I volunteered at CLS a few months back and it was an awesome experience. You can either teach english or you can volunteer with the Chumkriel Learning Centre (on the school grounds) and do all sorts of fun art, music, learning groups. either way there are lots of projects to volunteer help with. I stayed at Bodhi Villa, across the river from the main town. However I met volunteers that were staying at Blissful and at Longvilla and all were really happy with their accomodation. Bodhi Villa was great for me because it was surrounded by beautiful nature and it was definitely like getting away from it all - nothing better after a full day of hanging out with the kids!
anyway, hope you have a great time no matter what you decide and that your trip is fantastic!
