Does anyone could provide a feedback on Golden Temple Villa guesthouse at Siem Reap?
It looks fantastic considering the web pictures and 8$ rates per single room.
Any insights are much appreciated.
Cheers
Alek

If you're thinking of staying there, make sure you book in advance especially in high season. When I arrived in Siem Reap a moto driver took us there as he said it was popular, it was full when we arrived. A little further down the same road is a guest house called the ancient angkor guesthouse, which is where I stayed. It's a family run guesthouse, the family were very friendly & helpful . We paid $13 for a double room with air con, private bathroom, tv & it included a simple breakfast.

Rosy guest house is awesomel Its run by an English bloke but with wonderful Khmer staff. I paid $5 per night for a double room but they have a dorm if you want cheaper. They even picked me up at the airport.

Stayed htere for a few nights. Some of the best service I've experienced, including the tuk tuk driver they arranged. Price of the tuk tuk was the same as if I had tried to arrange my own. Only complaint was the smell of the towels, even the "fresh" ones we ordered still had that not so clean smell. Expect it was the laundry service not using such fresh water. Otherwise we were happy with the service and rooms. THe restaurant was so so, neither something to write home about good or write home about bad, just so so. Great location for getting about town on foot.
