This is approaching the end of the wet season... it should be sunny most of the time, but short bursts of rain are still possible.
The roads will still be in rough shape from the wet season, so if you are planning to travel to S'ville from Koh Kong (near the Thai border) definitely take the ferry. The road between Koh Kong and S'Ville is absolute hell.

sorry to contradict you but I was in Snooky for two weeks last October and apart from the odd hour or two of sunshine the rain was torrential and the city roads flooded.Rain or not I shall be down there for the Pchum Ben holiday and the following week as the wind and rain make it a very refreshing place to be.At the same time Phnom Penh hardly had any rain.Snooky gets a particularly hard monsoon.
The road to Koh Kong is all tarmac now.The ferry no longer runs in the rainy season.

Feel free to contradict me - the last time I was there was Oct 2006! I'm happy to hear the road is all tarmac now... it was absolute hell when I took it. It must have taken 16 hours from S'ville back to Bangkok. Are there still the 3 boat crossings though when you take the road, or have bridges been built?

thanks for the replies.. I have been informed that the ferry is not running at the mo, so the only option is the bus as the bridges are completed.
