when i went to ankor wat in march of 07, i remember my friend and i needed our passports to get the admission badges (for 3 days). another buddy just recently went and didn't need his passport and got his badge. i suppose you really don't need the passport . . . since they take your pic and $$.

i was at Angkor in March 07 as well, and no, they didnt ask for my passport to get the admission pass, just paid the fees, get photo taken and waited for a while, no hassle
