Vientiane to Siem Reap

    Hi,
    I was thinking of going from Vientiane to Siem Reap, but flights are pricey. Does anyone have any information on how long it would take on a bus or a train? Or any other suggestions?

    1: Travel through Laos, cross border, pass through Strung Treng/Krachie to Snoul pick up to Kampong Cham, Bus to S,R,. You would be lucky to make it within two days.

    2: Cross to Thailand, bus to Korat/Surin cross border into Cambo at O'Smack and head for S.R. via Anlong Veng, this is by far a road less travelled and much more interesting trip. Decent accomadation at all places mentioned. If you need more let me know. Cheers
