Siem Reap to 4 thousand islands

    After doing Northern Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, I would like to travel from Siem reap to check out 4 thousand islands....??

    Any ideas of best way to travel to do this?? Any flights to Pakse or anywhere near? Overland??

    hi bli: here´s an interesting itinery-from siem r. cross the lake, by boat ,to battambang. 1 night. then from battambang to pnohm phen by train or bus(i´d prefer the train-amazing).get your lao visa in p.p. 2 more nights. venture upriver-it´s the mekhong-to steung treng,4. night. now cross the border-customs might chargeyou some extra-money-into lao.there you are: si pan don-4 thousand islands. have fun!
