Hi everyone!
I would like to go from Sieam Reap to Pakse ; is it possible to get there with a flight?
Where can I buy the ticket (online? directly in Siem Reap airport?)
How much does it cost?
How many flights a day?
Merci beaucoup,
Dijahtalism

Siem Reap has an international airport and is in Cambodia. Pakse has a domestic airport and is in Laos. Pakse is 'serviced' from Vientiane by Lao Airlines.
There is no direct flight from Siem Reap to Vientiane. To fly between the two, you will have to either go via Bangkok (with Bangkok Airways) or via Kuala Lumpur with (the cheaper) Air Asia.
If you go to:
www.AirNinja.com
it will allow you to determine the low cost carriers flying those legs, and from there you can check with thse carriers the flight times and costs.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

While the website shows it, one can't seem to book.
I first went there and tried Firefox, then IE8, then Opera, but all to no avail.
It is possible that a good travel agent can secure.

Lao Airlines fly Siem Reap to Pakse two or three times a week.
Yes, the Lao Airlines website is an absolute shocker, but you can access their schedule via Amadeus.
The good news is their planes tend to be better than their website!
So, go here:
http://www.amadeus.net/
And click on Flights -> Timetable, enter the details and you'll get the schedule.
As already mentioned it's nigh on impossible to book through the website, but their is an email address at the top that others have reported using with success.
Hope that helps.

Hi everyone!
I tried amadeus (website to book tickets) but it seemed there was no possibility to get to Pakse from Siem Reap .
Updated information :
So I called the Laos airlines company in Paris and I was informed that the Pakse airport is closed from the 1st of July to the 31st of August (????). The employee told me that there are flights from Siem Reap to Savannaketh, then buses are set to get to Pakse (3 hours and 8 $ one way). She told me that the price would remain the same for the flight as 74 $ + 25 $ tax and fees one way.
Thank you all for your help,
Dijahtalism

I read this last 'post' of yours and began to wonder...
Did Dijahtalism actually talk to the REAL Air Laos office, or ECCR - the one that was an agency for Air Laos and has now been discreditied by Air Laos?
For more on the Paris based agency, go to:
http://www.travelfish.org/board/post/laos/4399_help-please---booking-flights-with-laos-airlines
Dijahtalism may I suggest you go to a decent travel agent in your location and see if they can't add to the information you now have.
Cheers

Thank you Bruce Moon,
Indeed I talked to this agency in Paris using the name of the Lao Airlines company.
The information given about the closure of the aiport was confirmed by the owner of a hotel in Pakse : it is closed from the 1st of August to the 30th of September for extension and overhaul of the landing area.
So I think that my trip will be
Siem Reap to Luang Prabang
Then Luang Prabang to Si Phon Done
and then Si Phon Don to Phnom Penh for going back to France.
I will for sure ask for some advice :-)
Cheers,
Dijahtalism
