    how do i get to Rach Gia from Phnom Penh?? Bus, train, whatever...

    While there is a train for part of the way, not too many westerners are 'into' it.

    Bus is the typical means of transport. However, after Sihanoukville, and to the border, they are few and far between.

    Hi,

    I would suggest that you take a boat from Phnom Penh to Chau Doc and from there a bus to Rach Gia. You can't do it in the same day but if you're not in a hurry Chau Doc is a really nice place so why not spend a night or two there.
