hello all! long timer reader, first time poster here ;)
i have only a brief amount of time to spend in cambodia (unfortunately), and i am having a tough time deciding between mondulkiri and ratanakiri. can anyone recommend one over the other? i'm a novel person, so the one thing i'd REALLY like to do (no matter where) is go on an elephant trek, and i hear i can do that in either location? anyway, that's my only stipulation...
Hard decision, but if you're particularly set on the elephant riding, I'd go to Sen Monorom in Mondulkiri. Ban Lung (in Rattanakiri) has more "stuff" to do and see, but think you may find the former more to your liking. Nature Lodge is an excellent place to stay there.
