Hi,
Dont want to sound like a beginner but this is my first trip w/ credit cards. What are your feelings about leaving them in guesthouse safes?
cheers

Good question - what about a wedge of cash - would you use the safe? and what would you do if things went tits up and cash went missing?,

It's a difficult one to give advice on. I generally always keep any cards on me, but I have stowed cash and cards in a guesthouse safe in the past without problem. Often for cash you can get a receipt...
It's down to a trust issue and a bit of a judgement call on your behalf... If I had to choose between stashing cash and cards in my room, or availing myself to a guesthouse safe, I'd always go with the latter...

nowadays in cambodia they have most of the time no idea how to use credit card especially in the small province city, they are pointless to use it to order on internet or in cash machine,
So i guess if there is a problem it could almost only be in Phnom Pehn,

i'd agree with that, the average cambodian doesnt have a bank account so plastic cards are a mystery to them. always best to scatter cards and cash around your gear minimising any likelihood of any problems, common sense really..
