Hi,
I have only 10 days in Cambodia and planned to start from Sieam Ream off to Battambang, Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh. Is there any direct bus from Battambang to Sihanoukville? Issit worth it to travel to Sihanoukville as I don't wanna waste my already limited time if the place is not really great. My definition of great are nice sandy beaches with great snorkeling. Should I go to Kratie for its famous dolphin instead? And I also heard that there is sort of 'theft season' in Cambodia. Does December included? Please advice. TQ sooo much!!

Hi fire_lily81,
From Battambang to Sihanoukville you will need to go to Phnom Penh.
The snorkelling at Sihanoukville is nothing to write home about, but the beaches are ok -- you can also trip out to nearby islands and visit the National Park - all fun stuff.
Going all the way to Kratie to see the dolphins is a bit of a non-event to my mind -- sure if you're heading up that way anyway to go to Laos or to the Wild East, then by all means stop by and check it out -- but personally I wouldn't bother going there just to see the dolphins.
So, if you stuck with your original plan, you could do something like:
Siem Reap (3 nights)
Phnom Penh (1 night)
Sihanoukville (3 nights)
Phnom Penh (2 more nights)
Theft season??? never heard of it -- theft can be a problem year round -- so just keep an eye on your stuff!
